Halcyon Hotels
A booking site that feels like the first swim of summer.
↗+38% direct bookings
(01) Overview
Halcyon runs four small hotels on the Yucatán coast. Most guests arrived through booking platforms that took 18% and flattened the brand into a thumbnail. We designed a site that makes booking direct the obvious choice.
(02) The challenge
What stood in the way.
Hotel websites either look beautiful or convert — rarely both. Halcyon needed editorial atmosphere, real availability in three taps, and a CMS their front-desk team could update between check-ins.
(03) The approach
How we cracked it.
We led with water: slow, full-bleed film and a palette pulled from the cenotes. The booking widget lives in the nav, so it’s always one tap away. Built in Framer with a CMS for rooms, rates and journal stories.

OBRA feels like an in-house team that happens to be better than any we could hire. Every single week, something real ships.
